Garret, I don't need help with specific parts, but I would love if RFQWORK could collect guides for diferent processes. I've made a start with my guide to 2D processes:

http://www.jeffalbro.net/cnc/2d-comparison/

But I have NO idea about costs and design considerations for molded plastic, rapid prototyping, spun metal, stampings, etc. I'd love to add more processes to my design repertoire.

Anyone know of any design guides out there?

Yes, that is a very good chart there. I will try to post that up here permanently. Yes although I have worked with molded plastic, I have never got a chance to get into the design work. I just made parts for it according to the print.

Please if anybody in the field of these areas: molded plastic, rapid prototyping, spun metal, and stamping. Please spread the knowledge.
