I need qty 5 of 1/8" square HSS tool bits (2-3" long, 2.5" seems to be standard) ground down to different heights. The bits need to keep thier hardness, so go easy. They will be used as guage blocks.

I need: .115" .110" .100" .095" .090" (+/- .001")

The other dimension (I'm measuring .122" square on my existing bits) does not need to be ground.

Supplier to supply bits (They are .50 each from Enco).

Thanks!

Will you send me a picture of one of the bits you are talking about? or the 2005 enco page number? I just want to make sure we are thinking the same.
Thanks,

Would you mind if they were made out of carbide round stock? If so, I could just cut them up out of a 1/8 carbide blank that I already have and you wont have to pay ship me your bits. If they are made out of carbide I will grind you one of each length for $50.00 plus shipping. I need about a week to get them done.
Thanks,
Neil

Unfortuneately, they need to be rectangular in cross section for stability. They have to fit into a slot about .130" wide.

Jeff.

Have you considered cutting them off on a wire E.D.M.
each would only take a few minutes to cut.

Nope, I didn't think of that. If I do more I will certainly offer that option in the quote.

Thanks for the idea!
