Looking for an RFQ to price a part assembly. I want to know if it would be financially viable to produce these in fairly large scale. If annodizing is supplied in your quote please make note that I am looking for a hard annodize. The cap can be either hex or slotted (which ever is easier or cheaper).

1) Material type - 6061 Aluminum
2) Must supply own material.
3) Quantity - 50-100 Units
4) DXF Availiable.
5) No time frame at the moment.
6) RFQ ends May 30th, 2006
7) Annodizing or polishing may required (depends on price).

Some background on the part:

This part is a spring guide and will be periodically reciprocating within another part. The cap is designed to retain the spring when it is being compressed.

If you have any suggestions to material, I am willing to compromise. Weight and price are an issue.

I have two quotes. Still waiting for more. Prices seem very consistent. :)

Very happy with the prices I am being quoted.

That is where I got my specs from. The problem with that is steel is not an ideal material for my application as weight is a big issue.

RFQ is still open.

Reposted the DXF as an AutoCAD 2000i DWG.
