Tolerances arent really to tight on this piece .01 of an inch. The base or bottom of the container does need to be pretty flat with minimial nicks and gouges.

I have 2024 stock that i would like to get rid of. Is the material call-out an absolute requiremnet.
I can get you a near mirror finish on the base, i know the smoother the cooler when it comes to heat transfer.

2024 would be fine. I was just using 6061 becuase it is a litter easier for me to find in that size.
