Quote quantity of 500 and 1000pcs including material.

It is retangular, open top with a small rectangle in the middle. All dimensions are +/-.005. It is the bigger one in the picture. Look at the .dxf files as well.

Q1: What type of manganese bronze is your part to be made of?
Q2: How long will you have this RFQ open for bids / when will you be closing it / when do you need the parts by???

regards!

C675 Wrought, I believe is the material. Its for use inside a Corvette 6speed transmission. Need the parts in 4-5weeks possibly. I will close it when I feel I have a good price on the parts.

So, if it takes you 2 months to find the ""price you are looking for,"" then your lead time is 3 to 3 1/2 months????

C675 Wrought, I believe is the material. Its for use inside a Corvette 6speed transmission., aaron, we are having difficulties finding this type of manganese bronze, do you have some alternates that you can go with?
We have "Machining Pricing Done" but haven't been successful locating material to your specs, we are waiting on 2 other steel houses to call back on Monday, as I asked before, if you have alternate material types to use, please advise!

Will (SAE430/Alloy424) Maganese Bronze work or Posibly a SAE 660 that is used in transmission application? And I still would like to know if it is to be Machined on all sides, some of our customers don't require it.

Ill have to ask the company im doing these for this week. They are going to a race and wont be back for about a week. Im also in the process of moving right now, so ill be on and off the internet for about 2weeks or so. They arent needing the parts right now, so I have some time. Aluminum bronze would probably be OK.

Yes, it has to be machined on all sides, you cant buy square or rectangular stock in that size! And after you called me a "jackass" in a PM, you wont be getting this job either!

Just to clear this up! I never said anything about buying stock to those dimensions. The stock I buy has a nice locking finish already and for the most part could be machined on 3 Sides not 4. If you would have replied to any of my postings I would have cleared that up rite away, but apparently you are not smart enough to figure that out.

This website is really bad about not sending post messages and such.
I cant be online every single minute. And also, learn these two words please, "Business Ethics".

For everyone else, THIS PART MUST BE C675 MANGANESE BRONZE.

Hello Aaron,

Thank you for the opportunity to quote on this job. I have attempted to open the supplied dxf files, although unfortunately only the side view loaded for me. I will try another viewer tonight when I have access to my other software. I do have a couple of questions I would appreciate answers to in order to provide a accurate quote.

1. Is any finishing required?
2. I know you said all sides must be machined, and if that is the case we are more then happy to do it. If it is possible to leave the bottom of the part in stock finish, this will drastically decrease the per unit cost while still allowing us to machine the part to your exact dimensions. Can you confirm that all six sides must be machine as opposed to five?

In the event that I can not open the second dxf file I would also like to know the following measurements:

1. Overall length
2. Length of inner rectangle
3. Radius of corner on the inner rectangle. As a side note any increase that can be made to this radius will allow for the usage of larger tooling, and help you decrease costs.
4. The inner rectangle looks centered, is this correct?

Thank you for your time and I look forward to preparing a quote for you.
Clayton

Are you in Washington state or Canada?

Also, im looking into the possibility of using Ampco 45 since everyone is having a issue getting C675. I think the properties are very close between the two metals.
