Bidding closed, 15 bids $5-$15.00, Low bid came from USA, wonder if
it was a mistake??? China & India were $6-$7.50.

$5, if you leave some in the chuck material is $2 each minimum, WTF, I am
about to quit trying. I could see $5 if we are casting 10,000 in the world's
cheapest aluminum, egad!

Wait till you see the parts, most of the jack legs cannot produce. We offered to buy some parts using some one elses quote and they would not do it. My money is just as green as the other guys, that shows something is not right.

Hey Fred,

What are you getting at? Are you saying the bidder is low-balling just to try to
raise the price once he gets the job, and the other bidders have been told they lost. Or customer will get garbage for $5.00 and not admit he screwed up. Or
option 3, buyer is lying about the $5, and going to come back later saying
Mr. $5.00 backed out and would anybody like to do them for $6.00. I have
been playing the internet bidding game and won 3 jobs out of about 50-100.
One customer did repeat and now just comes to me. I have been told my quality
has been amazing. Funny I would have thought those parts to be so simple
anyone should have made them look great, my guess these low bidders are of
piss poor quality. I can't explain my low win rate, I don't bid on jobs that don't
fit me or my machines well. I want to assume people posting jobs for bid are
honest. There are probably a few inventors shocked at what things cost to
make in low quantities, and a few buyers just checking prices on their current
vendors, maybe that is why the win rate seems so low for most of us?

I could be all of the above, the secret is in the prints!!!!!!!!! If they look like something from your first week in high school drafting (I don't think that is offered any more) then stay away. Any one that has the money to buy parts and not cry about the price is running at least a $4000 software program to generate prints. The only jobs we have gotten from the internet were, well, I don't think we have ever gotten any. Things are picking up we did have a more quotes in the past 2 weeks hopefully that will continue to go in a positive direction. Did you bid the light sabre guys parts??, you might want to check his eBay selling feedback for his company, it ain't good.

Hey Fred,

My situation violated your print tip, my only steady customer I fished off the internet doesn't even send prints. They order press pins, and plugs, just
sending e-mails to describe them, easy to run, and I get a good rate. Volume
not great but it makes the car payment. My largest customer I design the
parts for and I have no drawing software I use photo editing software to draw
in and I got kicked out of high school drafting to boot. The light sabre guy
never sent me any prints, guess you are special.
