Carbide and diamond are the only materials on earth that can't be cut with a waterjet.......unless you are cutting with diamond abrasive !!

Default Waterjet

That is not true, I have cut both carbide and diamond grinding wheels with garnet.

Don't diamond wheels have other materials blended in with the diamond?
I'll have to take your word at cutting carbide, as I haven't actually tried cutting this. What I don't understand is, nozzles themselves are made of carbide. While they wear over time, this process is very slow. Are you saying you can cut carbide faster than wire EDM ??? Is there different hardness levels to carbide?? I find this revelation very interesting. I am using a Jet Edge waterjet with 150 h.p. pump @ 60K pressure. Do I need more pressure to accomplish this. Thanks for the insight..........
