Sorry Mr Mold but I believe Nami because he never received an acceptable 1st pc
which would be customary with any tooling ( you never mentioned a first pc nor did he). I have seen this man ( Nami )post on a very strict and respected board many times and he has been very honest and very helpful...

I hear you and understand your point and am sorry for being abrupt, but from my point of view and anyone else that doesn't know him it looked like a hit and run.;) I've been a self employed shop owner for 35 years and we old people get grumpy after running a shop with 100+ people for...
Waste of time
I agree 100% Madmachinist, Did you even get a print? What a dork to ask for a quote and blow us all off. Even a follow up would be a polite jesture.
Did anyone get a print or any communication from this guy?
I agree with the behind the scenes theory and would also like to know what the winning quote was. No offense to the person that got a really good price on their parts, thats the way our country works. But what I don't understand is how any-one in the machine business can actually make these...
I didn't think of that, (good detective work) but it's still a pretty tacky way of running a business. Like you said I don't pretend to be anybody but me. I do have a huge shop in my eyes but not even big in someone elses eyes, we do work for Boeing, Lycoming and many other companies but my...
So Matt and everyone else it's your turn, especially machinepier I really think we will all learn from this. And I am sorry to hijack this thread but it has served it's initial purpose.
WOW --Besc  that price floored me. Below is what I quoted and at those prices I gave it just covered the help and material with no profit. Thank goodness for the large companies left in the USA or I would feel guilty having to let go of 135 great hard working Employees.:( This is very...
Matt thats a good idea. But I think we should leave bluefork out of it, by that I mean we should all post our prices so we can see where the state of our economy is really at. I'm game just say the word and I'll post our prices it really would be good too see how pricing has changed lately...
If you are still in need of someone to do your prototypes I would be glad to help out. If you would like you can send the prints to NIPM@COMCAST.NET and I will see if I can be of help.
Just a quick view of who I am I've been doing proto for 40 years for companies like Boeing,Lycoming ETC. and...
Hi
Is there still a need for these parts? If so I will send you a quote. If you would like to send files I might be able to get you a lower price because of a few unknowns that are not visable in the picture or drawing..

corawang,------ Dear corawang nothing against you personally as I don't know your quality and it could be great (it would be one of very few) but you have to see it from our side to understand. It doesn't affect my shop because we have been doing DOD (department of defense) work for 40 years...
Quote; You only give us your design drawings or samples.
And next month we will see it cheaply made in wall-mart, SORRY but call a spade a spade:mad: The gig is over.
QUOTE; Save our economy!!
Buy american !!!! ;)
I couldn't agree more, what is wrong with people? Why do they like junk so much? I do alot of big parts for Boeing that they won't allow not to be domestic.
I wish more companies would smarten up
