Hello,

Alum. 6061 part often comes in anodizing finish. Do you need it?

Can you tell me your target price? I can tell you if it's workable for us in 6 hours.

My email is hugo@wizmetal.com

Thanks!
Hugo

RFQ Closed, results

Thanks to all who submitted quotes. I have chosen two suppliers and they will get an email from me shortly.

I will have some other similar parts to quote very soon.

I hope I do not get in trouble for this, but here are the statistics on the bids I received.

15 quotes received
I asked for a quote on 25 pcs, 50 pcs, 100 pcs, 250 pcs, and 500 pcs.

25 pcs ave=$8.46/min=$4.66/max=$15.00
50 pcs ave=$6.73/min=$4.06/max=$14.75
100 pcs ave=$6.04/min=$3.16/max=$12.20
250 pcs ave=$5.57/min=$2.46/max=$11.00
500 pcs ave=$5.07/min=$2.35/max=$9.70

Two bids were from overseas. Surprisingly, they were NOT the low bids. They were just below average. I did not choose them.

My choices were average on price, either had good communication or website so I could learn a little more about them, and were geographically on the eastern half of the USA.

Just a personal opinion point here. Have a website (even a "freebie" website is better than no website) that tells something about yourself, your equipment, and experience (pictures of past parts). I personally am not bothered by a one man shop in his garage with a single manual mill. There are plenty of parts appropriate for that setup and you will get business. If you have a CNC mill, even only one, let people know you have it. A Haas VF-2 in the hands of decent machinist (even a 1 man shop in his garage) can put out some serious parts and I would be happy to try him out.
