We need to have 2 king-pins and 6 related parts made, see photos. The heavy right end of the pin shown acts as the steering king-pin. The four-start spiral grooves in the thinner left end of the pin are for actuating the brake at the same wheel. It is part of a circulating ball system much like in some steering boxes. The parts shown at the upper right in the photos are the female mates, or nuts, for the two kingpins which also have spiral ball grooves. At upper left in the photo are two inverted nuts which retain the female mates for the king-pins to the spindles. Also shown is the hex nut which retains the king-pin to the spindle.
The threads on the king-pin and retaining nut have an unusual pitch. It appears to be 25TPI and is also close to M1.0. The thread pitch on the new parts can be something close to this pitch. Exact reproduction of this thread is not neccesary.
We have no idea of the alloy or harness of these parts but that can be tested.
The drawings included are to scale but all dimensions are nominal.
If you have serious interest in making these parts and have questions, please ask.
