We design and source 5-6 frames of this size a year all with the 0.005"/foot tolerance. None of our vendors (they are also quoting on this) have ever had a concern with the tolerance. The top surface (surface with the M8 tapped holes) will need to be machined. The opposite (bottom) side is...
I will leave RFQ open until 4/5 will place order by 4/12. I prefer to order the weldment and the plate together. I want t,hem shipped to me assembled. You do not need to be able to machine both but, you must be responsible for sourcing both as well as quality.
Thank you

P.O. Issued
Thank you to everyone for your Quotes. I will be issuing a P.O. to a member from here this morning. I will be following up in a few weeks on a very large RFQ.
I have 2 parts that I need delivered to me by 3/25. I do not need them plated just machined. I have attached the drawings, I will accept quotes until 5pm 3/25 and will issue P.O. 3/26 in the morning. Drawings attached.
How comfortable are you with the resulting flatness? I have never machned something so long/thin with Ultem. If it were shorter I would have no concern.
reply to Helmuth
Helmouth,
There is no heat involved. I had thought about Ultem because it is very stable. Although I have never used it for a part with these geometries. I am not sure how flat/straight it would stay. I am open to other materials as I said in my original post. I am...
I have (2) long parts to be made. I have left the material blank, because of the length to width ratio straightness may be problematic. I left the material blank to give you maximum options. These parts are covers and I need sufficient strength to maintain a consistent gap between the cover...
I will only need 2 parts (1 now, 1 in maybe 3 months (after testing)). The part is made of Glass filled Teflon and has (50) 0.01" dia holes drilled radially. I have attached a drawing in .pdf format, I can email you other formats. I will entertain creative fabrication solutions as well.
