1) Material type: 6061 or 2011 whichever is most economical.
2) Material not supplied.
3) Quantity: Please quote for 400 and for 800 pc.
4) Drawing attached.
5) Required time frame: ASAP without unduly increasing cost of parts.
6) RFQ ending time: 5-15-07
7) Tolerances + or - .003

this part looks pretty straight forward
i dont see any
tight tolerances
+or - .001
i can do easy
whats the box at the .015 x 45 degrees?
itll take a week for me to get material
i have contacts at several local shops though
i could ship 50 on monday 5/14/07
and the rest by5/28/07
i have
a sodick wire edm
cincinatti sabre cnc mill
and a falcon cnc lathe
and all the manual machines
surfcam and esprit
for programming
i can do these parts for 4.50 each
1800 for 400 pcs
3600 for 800 pcs

I suspect that + or - .003 on diameter and length should be easy (cheap) enough?

I updated the RFQ to include tols, which should (I think) be easy to hit.

Thank you for updating with the tolerances. +/- .003 is easy to acheive on CNC machines.

Another question that most people will ask. Can we asume that the .37 exterior diameter will be from the raw stock that will be 3/8 or it needs to be machined down a bit to have a nice finish all over?

Yes, the exterior should be fully machined.

I can run this job, just as soon as I receive a P.O.

Cost is

$2.25 each for 400
$1.90 each for 800

Material I will use use is 6061 T6
