Established prototype fabrication company specializing in complex large scale composite assemblies, mockups, prototypes, full-size and scale models and tooling and patterns is seeking an experienced CNC machining technician with tooling design experience and a solid background fabricating large complex assemblies. The position requires an energetic hands-on person with proven problem solving skills, organizational skills, and a natural gift for resource and project management.
Job Purpose:
Providing critical operational capacity through the utilizattion and maintenance of a CNC department that currently has six large CNC work centers with four large envelope 5 axis CNC machines.
CNC Job Duties:
• Performs CAD / CAM / CNC design, programming, setup, and machining tasks.
• Achieves CAD / CAM / CNC operational objectives by contributing to the engineering information and machining strategy recommendations to operational plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining administrative system improvements; implementing change.
• Plans CAD / CAM / CNC projects by determining specifications; establishing production schedules; integrating requirements with tooling and mechanical designs; verifying requirements; updating cost estimates.
• Completes CAD / CAM / CNC projects by supervising tasks and personnel and resolving design and or process issues.
• Maintains CAD / CAM / CNC systems by establishing and enforcing preventive and on-going maintenance, and testing programs; scheduling repairs; coordinating shut-downs and maintaining supporting assets.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with safety regulations.
• Updates job knowledge by remaining current with CAM software; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
